The initially ambiguous form gradually came into focus, and she blinked in confusion. Her initial assumption had been a feline intruder, but to her bewilderment, the "cat" materialized into a pair of sleek leather shoes, boasting heels that soared to dizzying heights.
An expletive coursed through Maggie's thoughts. "What the heck?" she muttered aloud, the peculiarity of the situation washing over her, and her heart quickening with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension...
