Caleb, if he is open to it and its something at all within your power/income- i think offering to put him through a good outpatient program would change his life. I had an ex who joined an outpatient program in our town. he was about this age at the time, and also had just turned to basically every vice available to him. The outpatient program he was in was wonderful, and it changed his life.
