Dev Log 0.55b: Tis the Season

So... This week we see the completion of Lin C5. Well, not complete complete, got a couple of things to do in cleanup but her plot happens.

Before we get to that though, for a scene request, we have cleanup detail... and I think this one came out just amazing. Super cute, almost put it in the loop but it had one niggly little thing that keeps it as a Lisa dream. I recommend everyone who can go watch it.

Also I made some changes to the map screen so now it actually shows the stats without opening the guide.

But we also see the completion of Lin's arc, which was always hard because a long time ago I found that she didn't really have one. I think we've got a fine conclusion to that now.

So, step one, do last weeks talk to Lin by the lake on Friday. Then you can talk to Lin in her room, ask her how she's doing and we are just poking her feelings a little more. Nice bit of talking.

Then, with 12 mood (you get a mood bonus for high corruption levels remember), you can meet Lin in the garden come early monday morning. And she's got a lot more to say here. Finally figuring out what her feelings are... if you help her with that.

Alternatively you could get a mail about her dressing you up like a girl and going to town.

But... All that said, this has been an incredibly easy week of development. The scenes are all quite large and they basically wrote themselves. It's been a while since I felt like I had proper work life balance, but I felt that this week. I played some games, hung out with friends and overperformed at work.

But then, I have also been working on something else on the backburner...

Sometimes you've just got this thing in you and you have to get it out. A little game idea from watching youtube vids and stuff. It didn't matter if people liked it, I just had to do it. So over the past few weeks I've been using my free time to make a little game...

Now, as a minor project, I peeled it back to the bare minimum... you make your seed, give it to someone else and then your boards are synced. People have been playing it on the discord server and, almost to my surprise, having a damn fine time doing so. It helps that every game is randomly picked from about 100 characters, so even the biggest board shows half at most. It mixes up what a good question to ask is and makes things a little different.

So... it's been a fantastic week for lil 'ol Nunu.

Next week... that's Christmas... I make no bones that I'm going to achieve much so I think I will just schedule it for cleanup and guide writing rather than specific progress. There will be a build though and it's going to have something. I will not be disappointed if it ain't much. The week AFTER Christmas... the one where I don't have any interruptions scheduled... that's the week I think I'm going to take off.

I made the mistake a while back of having my holiday in line with those interruptions, and who could have guessed? I got an interrupted holiday. So you guys can lump a mediocre work week and I'll go off an play hard on my time off! Mwahahaha!

Though realistically, I know that's what you all want for me.
