Dev Log 0.49c: Ace High

P(re)S: I forgot to post this, but a few weeks ago I also made Wordle with boobs.

Okay, I accidentally fell asleep while uploading, so lets make this quick.

First of all, some people mentioned that they felt Lisa C3 ended in a bit of a rushed fashion. And going back over it, I didn't necessarily see it... At this stage I can either demand players think harder about it, the clues are there, the story is there...

Or I can just make things clearer? Part of my philosophy is that the players experience can't be wrong. You play the game, you experience the story I have written, this is not always the same as the story I have in my head.

At Lisa C3, if you've got the love, Lin will just come talk to you over the BBQ. I don't think this is the last touch up I'll do, but it should really cover some of the gaps in communication. I also got into Lin's Sunday morning scene, but those changes didn't turn out to be as big.

As for the major thrust of content this week...

We have a new dream sequence with Jenny, Lina and some wedding dresses. I'll leave the rest up to you guys!

For Jenny x Lin content? First, the content all ended up filed under the devourer corruption, Lin can incite a little encounter during Saturday night.

And after this We have another scene on Sunday at noon between them (Devourer again).

I do also feel though that these scenes aren't really "complete". They don't quite make sense in the reunion, like the Lisa stuff, they aren't a story that makes sense unless you know things I haven't written. And I don't think this one is particularly deep, unlike the Lisa stuff, but I do think it's important if the scenes make sense.

This then gets into something I've been feeling these past couple of weeks. The words haven't been flowing as freely as I'd like and I've just been feeling a bit stressed. Each week I try to start clean but there has always been something to touch up, some task that needs doing. The bug backlog hasn't been empty.

Obviously the bug thing... I can't just throw those away and I'm thankful people take the time to help me make the game better... But...

I'm declaring a half week. I'm just gonna play some games, fix some bugs... do my taxes. Just make sure I'm properly destressed by not having to do all those things on top of normal content development.

So Jenny C4 will be gotten into next week, and this week I really only have plans to write one scene, though if you know me, you'll know it will probably be more than that.

Oh, on top of that, I've also had some people complaining about Mega from the logistics side of things. I do still like it as the primary hosting option but it shouldn't be hard to upload mirrors so that everyone can get what they want. So... what are your preferred alternate download sites? The current leads are GoFile and PixelDrain. I would like to keep it to just the one so I'm not uploading massive amounts more each week.

Anyway, I'm off to pretend I'm relaxing... And who knows... I might just fit some in for real.
