Me recording my vocal to the title track of the upcoming album with Dino Covelli on piano. I was going to include this with my all-access videos but I'll be posting it all over my socials for promo, so anyone is free to watch this one. The album, Where Did the Music Go, is coming soon (Date TBD).

The last entry this year for Summer of Prog - and getting us ready for the Halloween season - Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield (huge thank you for donating this copy!) Tubular Bells is best known as the theme song to The Exorcist, all mostly performed and recorded by Mike himself. Let's go through this piece that takes up the entire two sides of the record! Special thanks to everyone for supporting this year's Summer of Prog.

Hey all, due to lack of interest, I have decided not to post anymore exclusive behind-the-scenes videos for the making of Where Did the Music Go. It was initially to help fund the album but now between finishing it, finishing Summer of Prog and playing gigs to pay for the album, I just don’t have the time to add behind the scenes content to that list.
Appreciate everyone's continued support. Gonna try to finish up the final Summer of Prog video this week.

By request, our next entry in Summer of Prog is Breakfast in America by Supertramp - Certainly a well-loved album with classics like The Logical Song, Goodbye Stranger, Take the Long Way Home and Gone Hollywood. But is it truly a progressive rock album?

Hey everyone - I'm gonna be taking a much needed week off. There's been some stressful things going on with the making of this new album and I'm not really getting a huge amount of support to justify the mental anxiety it's causing right now. I promise the final two Summer of Prog videos and Beach Boys video are on my to-do list and they will come out once I've recharged. Appreciate ya'll for understanding.

Hey everyone, so as some of you may have seen, I'm working on a new album. If you've been to one of our recent shows, you've already heard a good portion of it!
It's a progressive rock album called Where Did the Music Go set in a dystopian society where AI controls everything (so basically right now) and an underground congregation lives off the grid playing real music. The B-side will be a side-long piece about finding where the music has gone in the wake of a near apocalypse. As with ...

Continuing Summer of Prog, I'm reviewing another long requested classic: The Lamp Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis, a double album and their last with frontman Peter Gabriel. It's a rock opera set in New York City as Rael goes on a spiritual journey, coming across many strange sights along the way.
To be honest, I had a really hard time putting this one together, mostly due to past experiences with Phil Collins people claiming copyright on YouTube. So I decided to break the format and d...

Summer of Prog is back and I'm reviewing a long requested classic: 2112 by Rush (donated by a fan, thank you!) 2112 was the album that brought Rush into the limelight, the band consisting of bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer extraordinaire Neil Peart. The title track is a side long progressive rock gem and also features tracks like Train to Bangkok, The Twilight Zone and Tears. Let's dive into this classic and start off Summer of Prog with a bang!

Hey all - Huge thank you to those who made some suggestions for Summer of Prog 2025. I added a few to my Amazon Wish List - though unfortunately a number of them aren't available. If anyone has a copy or can get one through another site, please send me a message. As with last year, if you send me one of these records on vinyl (or other prog records) I WILL review them. They do have to be on vinyl though, I won't accept CDs.
Appreciate your contributions!

The next video I am going to release is called "Is Rock & Roll Woke" and it deals with topical issues related to Rock & Roll's history, such as racism, sexism, homophobia and just the stigma surrounding protest music in general. I did my best to keep it in the same style as my History of Rock videos (some fun moments along with emotional moments) and tried to be fair to both sides of the aisle, but I did also make some opinions known.
If forever reason you don't want me to inclu...

Hey all - So I haven't posted in a little while. I took some time off just to recharge. History of Rock 2010s and The Chuck Berry video were a lot of work. However I am working on the Eric Clapton video as well as video essay on "Did Yoko Ono Break Up The Beatles." Hopefully I can get those out relatively soon and hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for your continued support!

I debated whether I was going to share this or not, but I’m an artist, it’s what I do.
In 2015 I released a song called California Fire off of the album One Last Stand. At the time I’m writing this, January 9th, 2025, Pacific Palisades, a town I grew up for a long time before moving to New York City, has been burned to the ground. So many places and structures I used to walk by everyday as a kid, including my high school Palisades Charter High School, have either been severely dam...
