BTS Bon Voyage: S1E3

BTS Bon Voyage makes me happy.
I will probably re-watch these episodes when I need a pick-me-up!

I love you. 💜

I'm late but wanted to comment about one thing: you said that you think that Yoongi is the type of person to give up food so the rest could eat. There is a very sweet Yoongi moment in an early Run episode where exactly that happens. I won't give any more details but yes, he is such a caretaker.

Whenever Jimin pouts or plays cute to get something I'm just like "YOU GIVE HIM EVERYTHING HE WANTS! EVERYTHING!" To be fair, I'd be like this for all the members. 🤣

Austin, I WILL fight you for Suga's hand in marriage.... next to the hundreds of thousands of other ARMY who have proposed to him.

So V genuinely left his bag behind somewhere, but the crew looked after them and grabbed it up. They wanted to pull a hidden camera prank to try and get the boys to be more responsible about loosing things and not just rely on the crew, because that's part of the theme of this season. But our Tae Tae figured it out! One of my favorite Tae quotes is "My eyes aren't big for no reason" XDXD It's just such a great Kim Taehyung way of saying "I know how pretty I am, but don't think for a minute that I'm dumb!" and he says it with the most wide-eyed serious expression, lol

Accountant Suga is kinda hot ngl, and he really is so gorgeous. His smiles always make me the happiest :) Hope you had a good Thanksgiving!

In the idol world, they have a term for it: "spy". One or two members are selected to create a scenario counter to the group plan. However, they have to be clever and not get caught or there will be consequences. Most groups are familiar with members' body language/tone of voice/reasoning abilities, etc. so can spot a con fairly quickly but the sneaky ones or the ones who know how to hide their flaws can circumvent getting caught. Not all variety show situations have a "spy" scenario, it depends on the staff and how they want to film the ongoing situation. It can obviously get tiresome if it happens all the time but once in awhile is pretty funny.

Thank you! Happy thanksgiving 💜

Sir Austin

Austin Happy Thanksgiving..I appreciate you..you seem to be a good person..and this is my second time watching your reaction of this episode.

Tae had to be know that Jin was faking it when he started yelling at him. No way would Jin get mad at Tae about something like that. Jin and Tae have a similar dynamic to Jin and Jungkook. He's their indulgent older brother who kind of adores everything they do.

I love the larger captions. I sometimes have trouble reading them if they're too small. And that scene with Tae & Jin getting angry had my heart beating so fast the first time I saw it. I thought they were really mad at each other. Lol

thanks, Sir Austin, and enjoy your Holiday!!!

The whole point of the show was for them to travel like like a group of friends in college and for it to be as authentic as possible so the money restrictions made sense. They do get more money in other seasons though

Always love rewatching these episodes with you. I think the captions are good, not too big but it's up to you either way I'm fine. Love how your mom is asking about JK and BTS. I've seen teachers post tiktoks and all of their classroom filled with posters and such. It's really cool!

You got it right. They were playing a prank on Tae, by making him think that the production crew hadn't picked up the bag he left behind. And they got the boys in on it - but partway through the prank, Tae picked up on the fact that they were acting, so he confirmed with the production crew that it was a prank and then decided to prank them right back by getting angry at them and storming off. Then he picked up his bag from the production crew and revealed that he knew about the prank. The boys have spent so much time together that they know each others lying/acting tells. At this point, it's still relatively early days, so they can sometimes fool each other for a little bit, but not for an extended period of time. Tae's the best liar out of all of them - or at least the one that can fool the other boys the longest.

They were definitely going through a pranks phase when they were younger, haha! I agree with you, I don’t usually like pranks either (especially when people unnecessarily get distressed by it) but I guess it’s their sense of humor/part of their love language sometimes. And some of BTS’ pranks really are hilarious. Tae didn’t like the taste of alcohol (or coffee) when he was younger (I hate both too, so definitely relate) but nowadays he does drink, and really enjoys wine etc. Suga, Jin and jimin probably like to drink the most. I highly recommend Jin’s 4 episode series about traditional alcohol by the way! It was released this past week. I think the translations for a bit confusing, but there was one part in the beginning of this episode I’d love to point out. When V and JK are taking selfies and (being young) they say “men shouldn’t check their selfies”, and Jimin hears them and responds “Men? What the heck is ‘men’?” I just love the way he said that. Norway is beautiful! Glad you’re watching this series with us.

I love Suga, he's so pretty with his pale skin reflecting light like a pearl and he was an adult even back then so serious, totally husband material while V was a real Tae Tae young, joyful and carefree and he loved kids enough to go play with a stranger's kids, so cute. What a good group of guys 🦋

I love that JK won the bigger sandwich poor baby, BigHit should allow more money for food frankly.

I'm sure the boys play pranks from time to time but it was mainly the crew having the idea for this season. I'm the same way with pranks I get upset for people and feel really bad but I did find it funny that Tae figured out what the crew was up to, knew the boys were acting strange and his line "my eyes aren't big for no reason" cracked me up. Thankfully I don't remember them doing these pranks on any following seasons like this. Honestly I think the crew learned a lesson themselves at the end of the season as when something does happen the boys are confused thinking it's a prank at first so that stuff backfires. I'm really glad you are enjoying the show because they just get better from here.

roguechevelle

it is kinda funny that Sope kinda swap personalities a bit when drunk like Suga becomes more talkative & Hobi becomes quiet.

roguechevelle

“I’m sorry, my husband’s a meme” - flashback to PTD LA last year when Hobi spotted a sign of a meme of him and made a face that became another meme 😂

Mel

All of them drink, Korea has a huge beer/drinking culture, post work kinda like Germans. Hobi can't handle alcohol well and is always drunk at FESTA DINNERS, LMAO. It's funny because he ends up being quite and emo, while Yoongi starts talking a lot. You're going to see them drink in nonmusical content, vlives, festa, celebrations, behinds, documentaries. All of them stop drinking, preparing for Tour and such.

AstronautInTHEboX

Hobi is so cute last episode

LOU

Well if you like Jin in pink I have good news for you :D also you mentioning Jhope being good with kids gave me flashbacks to yesterday's run bts epsiode lol

Lela

I think taehyung really left his bag, the crew find it for him and took this chance to do prank..
