Okay, so productive week!
Things started a little slow with the important bug fixes that I only managed to track down after the release. But given this is the start of my full time, I put in the extra effort to make sure that didn't hold me back on producing some quality work!
Firstly it's only a few lines but Haily now actually says goodbye on Monday! The next and far larger part is that Haily can join Lina on her little saturday night adventure... it can go in a variety of directions and involves several piles of bodies. After that I got through another one of the date options from last week, I'd planned to finish all of them but alas there is only so much time in the week. The final content is that you can now attempt to go tree climbing with Alex in the forest. It's a nice alternative to just searching for stuff.
I've noticed a reoccurring theme that the player gets knocked out a lot... fortunately this is fiction and brain trauma is quite unlikely.
But wait there's more. I also implemented an in game patch log so that you can keep track of new content since you last played without having to look it up. It even keeps track of the previous version so you know how far to scroll back if it's been a while... or will do. It only starts counting from now.
Still in development land, last week had it's interruptions and all that but this week has more or less been my first 'real' week working full time on this. I would say I'm happy how it went but really I think I worked myself a little too hard... maybe 3-4% too hard. That's not to do with content produced, just with various extra patches and all that on top of it. Really though I'm still feeling out what is a good work life balance. Besides, some weeks just need a little more care in them than others.
I've spent more than the past few years basically living meeting to meeting... now there aren't any more meetings... it's a weird feeling and it will take a while for all this to properly sink in.
Anyway, as always, Love Nunu
