Dev Log 0.07c: Spies and Suckers

Well this week has all been a bit of a blur, started off with getting right and proper stuck into guide work, then designing the request scene. It's always interesting when you get outside input, you can get stuck in the same routines of things that you go through but when you work on someone else's idea and you think, how does this happen organically? And it's a lot of fun to put the pieces together, characters react in a certain way and they don't always do what you want them too. On the other hand, sometimes your own characters just might surprise you when just the right scenario appears.

Then it's great and fun and exciting. Then oh wait where did the week go, why isn't the guide content finished. You designed this scene with a bunch of renders in it, better do those. These were supposed to be micro scenes why are they hundreds of lines of code each... I've noticed that when I foreshadow something in my dev it has a tendency to happen, which is nice for consistency but lets see if I can use my powers for good this time.

Based on nothing I'm going to say that next week will be great for dev, I'll get all the remaining micro scenes for Alex and Sami done, the rewards for the existing scenes (Hypnosis in particular has some loose ends) and have time to make a few other improvements. /wink

But really one of the most heartening thing is that whenever I have a bit of a long week people come out of the wood work to make sure I'm not pushing myself too hard. Jokes on you, that kind of support only makes me work harder! But no seriously, I love what I am doing and even though it's hard sometimes, it's always fun.
