Added 2024-02-06 15:18:01 +0000 UTCWhen I started to get obsessed with Baldurs Gate 3 (and Astarion) I also started to get back in the groove by studying Astarions face about two months ago.
It's an interesting case considering the game as a source somewhat automatically pushes me in a less stylized direction. The drawings shown are in order of latest to oldest and I personally feel like it nicely shows how I've been experimenting with his facial features, jumping between less or more realistic.
I am suffering from "pretty anime face" a little, considering I've been drawing nothing but for a couple years, haha! It's still very apparent and changes with each drawing I feel like even in more recent ones, but that's a-okay.
These were mostly a warmup both back into drawing and his face because this man has very distinguished but also somewhat difficult features.
