Hey everyone!
Last Monday, I shared a quick video showing the very first version of the build menu in Nymphomania: Dream Haven. It was... pretty rough and buggy 😅 An early prototype at best.
Since then, I’ve spent the entire week rebuilding the construction system nearly from scratch. It turned out to be way more complex than I expected, especially to make it performant, clean, and modular. But now it works just the way I wanted! (We didn't had time to work the UI though)
There's a brush system for placing tiles, both tiles and buildings now "know" whether they can be placed or not — it's smart, reactive, and stable.
It might look similar visually, but behind the scenes, everything is far more reliable.
Now that the core system is finally in place, I can move on to the fun part:
Adding actual building effects, setting resource costs, and starting to shape the gameplay.
After that, the spicy flirt system is on the list, with of course the interresting events that take place in the bedroom 😇
