Re: The Strike & Content Creation

Hey all. Since the SGA has joined the WGA in striking there has been a lot of conflicting new and information about what is or is not going to be crossing the picket line. Yes, I have read all the FAQs, but personally, none of the wording makes me feel confident. That coupled with the misinformation being spread online and it has become a massive problem. So, I'm making the decision to table the two videos I was working on for this month that are pop culture centric. One was going to be about South Park and the other about the impact of Sailor Moon on Western Animation. These videos will still be made, they will come out after a fair deal has been reached for the writers and actors.

So then the question is what now? My content on Patreon (the Pilot Watch, Movie Nights, etc.) will remain the same since it is behind a paywall and not promotional material. 

However, this is my full time job and I am currently financially drowning due to New York City Rent, expensive health care premiums, and an elderly cat with health issues—content still needs to be made. Ya girl is ... doing her best lol

Anime content will be coming to Nebula sooner than planned and I'm going to pivot to my first love: book content. There are some fun ideas I've been floating around, so I hope you will enjoy and be patient with me in this.

As someone who has benefited from the protection of a union and was able to have important health care surgeries because of my mother's union I deeply believe in the rights of workers. I am also someone loves movies, television, and landscape of storytelling in the medium. It is work that has changed my life. I want to be supportive and even if this might err too hard on the side of caution—until I'm told otherwise clearly and directly—I'm just gonna do my part the best way how I can. Plus, there are video game, comics, and other mediums I've wanted to explore talking about, so now is the time. 

Next video should be out sometimes this week and it'll be True Crime related and then after that ... well, hope you are ready for some horny book discourse this Summer 2023.
