July Events Masterpost

Hello folks. I am taking a bit of this month to work on finishing up my book proposal. I have been putting this off for awhile, because of financial reasons, but I realize that if I’m ever going to finish it, I need to spend time on it (what a concept). Therefore, this month I will be picking the movie night film, pilot watch, and watch party series.

July’s Movie Night Film: SUPERMAN II. Specifically, Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut.

Synopsis: Superman agrees to sacrifice his powers to start a relationship with Lois Lane, unaware that three Kryptonian criminals he inadvertently released are conquering Earth.

I picked this film because right now on HBO Max is My Adventures With Superman and it has filled me with a lot of Kal-El feelings.

July Pilot Watch: Dark Angel

Synopsis: A group of genetically-enhanced children escape from a lab project. Years later we meet Max, one of the escapees who now works for a messenger service in the post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest.

The first season of Dark Angel is really something. Season two is a mess, but there is just something really special about Jessica Alba in this series. Also, she is ridiculously hot and cool in it.

July Watch Party Series: The Witcher S3

I had to delay The Witcher Book Club last month due to something personal coming up. I decided to take that lag and turn it into something fun. Season Three of The Witcher is here and based on the 3rd book in the series Time of Contempt. It will be Cavill’s last season and is split into two parts—for some reason. But I thought it would be fun to watch it together on Discord. We will then finally have the bookclub for Baptism of Fire following. xxx
