We made it to 50!!!

I am so flattered and honored. When I started this Patreon I never really expected to get this far so I'm surprised in a very Sally Field meets Anne Hathaway sense! So that means making a video for y'all. I'd love if you guys would just leave your suggestions and for the video you'd like me to do and then I'll do a poll allowing you all to vote on the suggestions! <3

Don't apologize i think those are good suggestions <3

Congratulations. My only suggestion would be about how progressive or diverse pop culture is attacked in places like IMDB and Rotten tomatoes (audience score). I remember when trolls review bombed black lightning in IMDB, even though the pilot was maybe the best pilot out of all of the arrowverse shows.

Hi

juan n n

also just want to add, this is mostly found in anime, as far as I can tell.. and anime is consumed throughout the latin and arabic world, far more than in the US. Perceptions about race in places like Brazil and north Africa and central America is an ongoing topic.

Loving all of Samantha's suggestions... Here's one I always felt a bit uncomfortable about and would love to hear another POV. Your views on how foreign tv/animation/film industries have mimicked racist tropes of past Hollywood, except its in the modern day. For example, Disney (and the rest) knew what he/they were doing in regards to black America and Asians, but today, blackface features and aunt Jemima are mostly gone from American advertising and media language (pops up every now and then)... Places like Japan and Germany, without having experienced the darkside of this particular brand of systemic racism, can't really be equipped to understand what it is they're doing wrong and end up producing content in an naive and irresponsible way. In their own culture, it isn't harmful. Children watching shows like Dragonball Z in the rest of the world end up consuming this modern version of that imagery. It's blatant, but probably not on purpose. I have my own feelings about it, and would love to hear yours.

Sorry for my being EXTRA today 😊

#3 bisexual people on tv/movies. Do you think they are represented well, if at all? I.e the 100

#2. β€œShipping culture” and how it can become toxic for some and a great escape for others. Ie Reylo fans vs FinnRey

Video idea πŸ’‘ Favorite strong female leads in modern tv shows. Why you like them? What makes them strong? How they differ from characters that you don’t like?
