2020-08-11 12:33:04 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you pointed out the Joker movie's use of black women. It bugged the hell out of me when I saw it, like they really had the audacity to cast these women as antagonists to the poor misunderstood white man, and then have one disappear with the implication that he killed her for not loving him and another gets murdered violently off screen ( did it feel like we were supposed to treat it as a moment of dark humor?? while he runs from the orderlies covered in her blood??) But it's whatever because like you said, it's been done before, and at least we have Watchmen to love on. The real annoyance is that Joker had the unmitigated gall to be boring on top of the bullshit.
