Good video. As a book reader, and Martell House fan, I was extremely appalled at how the show creators treated them. I was so hyped for season 5 and after that my high for the show just went on this slow decline. I feel like Cersei was the only one the show got right the entire time and I loved that Sansa got to become the Queen in the North.

I mentioned in a reply once on twitter that I hated how whenever someone in goodfaith criticized Dany’s actions in Esso there was ALWAYS someone smugly going on and on about “you must CLEARLY not understand that those cultures are built on SLAVERY and EXPLOITATION and aren’t WORTH saving, do you think slavery is good???” Bc it’s like...Dude, it’s a BOOK, no need to throw crap like that in my face as a person only a few gens removed from enslavement. But more importantly, yes, the slave trade in Essos IS bad...Which is why realistically there’d be THOUSANDS of people who live in the culture who oppose it. Why did DANY have to be the “liberator”? Why not support the already-there resistance to form a stable government post slave class being axed? Obviously that didn’t happen bc George didn’t want it to but that’s something important to talk about as well, HE is the one who wrote the story as is when he could have had even more POVs from Essosi characters.
