Warmin' up
Added 2022-03-28 10:09:39 +0000 UTCHey, remember when I first set up this monthly animation thing I said they would just be short simple things I can whip out in a day or two? Well instead I accidentally did a longest animation ever. Oops. Only by a few seconds, sure; this one clocks in at 4:10, my previous longest was 4 I think, unless I'm forgetting one. But still, oops.
Oh well, the actual animating is done for the most part, so I felt like celebrating with another little sneak peek. Little fox is warming up the big guy- can't expect a guy to just be ready to impale you at a moments notice after all.
Just gotta do the fluid sim and finish up the background/lighting, and she'll be ready for rendering. This one probably won't be done for the end of the month, this will take a handful of days to render, but it shouldn't be terribly late either. Stay tuned!

For the monthly animations, I take a lot of shortcuts that I might not in an animation commission. They're not quite as tidied up, and I fall back on simple loops a bit more often. Saves a lot of time, but I do try to only do it in ways that hopefully don't impact enjoyment too much!

You see the prompt and think of a whole scenario rather than just a simple loop, and know you can deliver it, so you do... As long as you're not getting burnt out on it, I don't think any of us will complain about longer animations! :D
