Ram test - all 3 characters
Added 2019-04-26 16:57:03 +0000 UTCThe new ram arrived today! I thought I'd just do a quick test and see how it holds up against all the characters I've made so far. I've got enough to render all three of them and not even come close to capping out on ram now, so I've got no excuse to not make my characters super fluffy.
This obviously isn't meant to be a pretty or artistic picture- I didn't even bother to pose them (wolf boy is only posed because he was saved that way from my last render of him), and Sy is looking particularly creepy in this picture thanks to being right in the middle of being somewhat reworked. This is more of a "tee-hee, look what I can do!" thing. My computer handled all the fur from both characters no problem. I rendered this just as a test and for myself, but I couldn't think of any reason not to post it here, so here it is!
Going forward I should have more than enough ram to make my characters as complex as I want and still have plenty left over for any background/environment work.
Also, while I'm here, I can only afford to do stuff like this entirely thanks to you guys, so I wanted to shoot out a quick thanks for the support. Thanks to your guys help, maybe I can make some really cool stuff in the future!

2019-04-26 21:39:13 +0000 UTCI had 8 gigs before. I decided to just say 'fuck it' and make sure it was never a problem again, and got 32 more, so rockin' 40GB of ram now. Should be able to make just about anything within reason now. :P He's a fairly tall boy, but syandene is also a real shortypants so it makes him look a little taller than he is I think, heh. He' s a touch over six feet if I remember right!
