Jealous Idol Part 3
Leia places a hand on Coby’s shoulder. Waiting for him to look back at her, she gives him a reassuring smile. She didn’t think he’d be this nervous. They’ve visited Hannah many times in the past.
The hallway they wait in is covered wall to wall with pictures of Idols and pop stars that Hannah has helped in the past. They literally cover every inch. She’s the best style guru in the city!
“You doing ok?” Leia asks, looking directly into Coby’s eyes. “You seem a little nervous. You were pumped about coming here earlier.”
Coby shifts his feet nervously and looks down at the floor. He cuts a dejected figure before letting out a long sigh.
“I know…,” he replies. “It’s just…..”
Before Coby can finish his sentence, a rather disheveled PA appears in front of them. Holding two large coffees in her hands, she looks a little stressed.
“Leia? Coby?” she asks, blinking several times as she does.
“Yeah…,” Leia responds, troubled about the woman’s demeanor. “We’re here to see Hanna.”
“Yes yes,” the PA responds with an impatient snap. “This way.”
Annoyed that the woman's attitude, Leia gives Coby a sideways glance. Coby just shrugs.
Following behind her, Leia grumbles under her breath. “Does she know who we are? Clearly not, otherwise she wouldn’t speak to us like that!”
Just as they turn a corner, the PA unexpectedly stops in front of them and slowly looks around. She looks down at them both confused and then points at Coby.
“Erm….,” she says impolitely. “This boy who’s following doesn’t need to come in. My boss is expecting sisters, not you and you’re boyfriend.”
Leia grits her teeth hard. Coby can see the frustration growing behind his sister's eyes. He’s not seen her like this since Darby told her she couldn’t get a tattoo on her arm.
“Miss,” Coby says politely, stepping between her and his sister. “I’m not her boyfriend. She’s my sister.”
The PA scoffs and then looks at Leia. “Where’s your sister then? I specifically remember the outfit brief was for an older and younger sister. Not a brother and sister.”
Coby turns around to Leia who’s seething and tries to calm her with a smile. Facing the PA again, Coby knows he needs to explain the situation but a lump forms in his throat. Just saying that he wants to be a girl out loud feels strange still. Especially to strangers.
“I’m the s-s-sister…,” Coby answers, uncomfortably forcing the words from his mouth.
The PA’s expression changes instantly to one of judgment. She stares at Coby making him turn bright red.
“Oh,” she eventually replies, turning back around to commence her hasty march. Coby and Leia reluctantly follow once more.
“Kids these days…,” The PA mutters under her breath. “Never pleased with what they’ve been given.”
Having heard the woman’s rude comments, Leia’s eyes grow wide and angry. Before Leia can say anything, they Reach Hannah’s studio door and the PA opens to studio door to let them in. They both give her the filthiest of looks as waves them in.
“Mrs. Long?” The PA says, changing her voice completely to be sweet and innocent. Allowing Coby and Leia to pass in front of her, the PA points at them. “The ‘sisters’ are here,” she continues with a cynical tone.
“Well hello, darlings!” Hannah greets them both, bursting up from her behind her desk. “How lovely to see you both again and soo soon after our last image consultation.”
Looking at her PA, Hannah waves her off. “Cancel my next client, Grace.”
As the PA shits the door behind her, Hannah struts confidently in her high heels. Perching herself on the edge of her desk, she pushes up the glasses on her nose. Grinning from ear to ear, she studies them both with professional interest.
“So,” she says with a curious smile, crossing her long elegant legs. “We’ve had the design brief, but I’m not sure I understand darlings! The outfits I’d designed for your tour were perfect—I see no need to change them.”
Coby gives Leia a nervous look before staring down at the floor in humiliation.
“Interesting sweeties,” Hannah remarks, bringing a single-manicured figure to her chin. “The new brief was for ‘sisters’. Is there something you’d like to share with me, Coby?”
Coby feels his heart beating like crazy and just as the nervous heat begins to make him sweat, Leia reaches in and grabs hold of his hand. Looking up at her reassuring smile, he’s happy she’s with him.
“My brother….,” Leia says, smiling at Coby as she talks. “Is going on a journey. It’s going to be tough and it’s going to be hard. But I want to help in any way I can. If that means we have an entire outfit and image re-think. I’m all on board.”
Stunned by his sister’s words of support, Coby can’t help but feel his emotions bubbling to the surface. The tears start to form in his eyes and he smiles back at her.
“T-thanks,” he says, nodding.
Turning his attention to Hannah, who’s looking on with intrigue, he looks straight into her eyes.
“I want to be a girl,” he says passionately. “I want you to help me look and be more feminine. We need you to make us sisters for real!”
Impressed by Coby’s honesty, Hannah gestures in agreement with a thumbs up.
“I see,” she replies, allowing a smile to creep across her face. “I gathered as much from the brief, but I felt it important to hear that from your mouth, Coby.”
Hannah stands from her desk and straightens down her pencil skirt. Clearing her throat, she walks back around her desk and looks down at the designs she was working on. Pushing them forward, she beckons both Leia and Coby to look at the drawings she’s made.
“I watched your last performance,” Hannah grins. “It was incredible.” Hannah then lets out a long breath and folds her arms. “I also saw the mixed reaction to your cross-dressing, Coby. Lots of praise for your bold actions, but also some negative press.”
Allowing Leia and Coby to study her designs, Hannah sits at her desk. “What has Darby said about all this?” she asks. “He’s such a corporate suit—I thought he’d have more of an issue with it. Not to mention the record label you’re with. Have they agreed to this?”
“Darby does what we tell him,” Leia laughs confidently, but doesn’t look up from the drawings.
“The label doesn’t know,” Coby explains, answering Hannah’s question directly.
Hannah leans back in her large leather office chair. She crosses her legs and looks up at the ceiling in thought. “You’ll be both under contract. Changing the offering could breach that and land you both in a spot of bother.”
Leia and Coby slowly look up from the drawings, worried by Hannah’s defeatest tone of voice. Leia leans on the desk toward her. “It’s not their choice!” she growls, desperate to protect Coby.
Hannah doesn’t react to Leia’s outburst, she just continues to look up at the chandelier hanging from her extravagant studio.
“Hannah!?” Leia shouts again, slapping a palm onto the table. “Please don’t tell me you’re in agreement with the Label! That’s not fair on Coby. She wants to be a girl and we have to do everything we can to help!”
Silence then fills the room as Leia leans forward with expectation. Hannah still doesn’t respond and Leia looks back nervously back at Coby. Coby looks again at the pretty outfits sketched out and he can’t believe Hannah would say no. He felt certain she’d fight his corner.
Eventually, Hannah breaks from her poker stare and brings her hands together as she looks at Coby’s worried expression.
“This is deffo what you want?” Hannah asks, resting her elbows on the desk as she leans towards them. “Being a woman in the public eye is not easy, Coby. The pressures to ensure you look pristine at all times aren’t easy to bare. Trust me on that one.”
“It’s what I want! It’s what my soul yearns for. It’s who I am!” Coby replies vehemently.
“Well, It’s settled then,” Hannah cheers, clapping her hands together. “We’ve got a lot of work to do!”
“We have?” Coby asks, a little concerned by her words.
“Yes. An entire demeanor shift is required. That’s learning how to walk, talk, act, speak, and dress like a girl of your age. Even your beauty, fitness, and diet need to change.”
Coby looks down at himself. Patting his flat stomach, he looks up at Hannah confused.
“Yes yes,” Hannah laughs in reaction. “I can see your trainer keeps you in great shape, but girls work more on ensuring they have a nice tush and toned physique. Less about gaining muscle.”
Still puzzled, Coby looks at Leia for clarification. Leia smirks back. “She’s saying you need to work on getting a nice plump ass!”
“That’s right!” Hannah giggles. “Maybe Leia’s trainer can work with you?”
As Leia agrees, Coby twists to look curiously at his ass in the skinny jeans he’s wearing. He’s pretty pleased with it, but he thinks it could be better.
“Well anyway….,” Hannah says, regaining Coby’s attention. “Be sure to talk to Darby about it. Y’know—we need a voice coach, fitness trainer, and you’ll need to visit the doctor about getting your testosterone blockers.”
Coby nods and smiles. However, deep down he’s a little scared of all the changes. He knows it’s a big step, but hearing all that out loud has him a little worried.
“Right then!” Hannah grins, looking at the papers on her desk. “Let's talk about your next gig and the outfits I’ve chosen.”
Hannah points at a drawing of a young lady wearing a long flowing white skirt with a tight halter neck top.
“I thought I’d start Coby off with someone light, easy to wear, and elegant. The long skirt will add theatre to your dancing and it will allow you to feel feminine without much effort.”
Hannah then points at the halter top drawn beautifully. She taps it a few times with confidence.
“The top will be tighter, but not too revealing. This gives us the chance to highlight some breast growth and allow your audience to see a gradual change in Coby’s appearance. It screams to me budding starlet. I hope you both agree!”
“B-breast….,” Coby stutters, focusing solely on that. “G-growth?”
“Yes, darling,” Hannah replies flippantly like it’s no big deal. “Obviously they won’t be real to start with. We’ll have to source some appropriate forms in the meantime, but over time your own will develop.”
Still stunned by the conversation, Coby’s eyes are wide open as he stares at Hannah.
Put off by his staring, Hannah gives him an awkward smile. “Everything ok darling? I haven’t said anything to upset you?”
“No…,” Coby smiles back.
Looking anxiously around the room for a moment, Coby fixates his attention on the drawing in front of him. He touches the halter neck.
“So,” he says softly. “I’m going to have breasts when I perform from now on?”
“In a sense,” Hannah confirms. “Does that worry you, darling?”
Coby looks at his older sister and her much more developed frame and smirks. “Seems I’m going to be jealous of you’re a little longer, sis. I’m going to catch you up and make everyone proud!”
