As you mentioned in your reaction this is the third black and white movie that you have watched the first one was 12 Angry Men, the second one was It's A Wonderful Life and the third one is now Casablanca. There are so many good movies to be seen. I look forward to more from you. But that only made it so much sweeter as she started falling into the story and the characters. To see the way she got so invested in the love triangle, her crushing on Victor and spitting venom at Ilsa and having no idea what to make of Rick made this one of my favorite reactions. Her complements on the dialogue only prove what I have known these past two years, she is a very intelligent woman. Well worth it, Miss Biss, weel worth it ๐ค๐

2025-06-21 02:22:40 +0000 UTCBiss the reason the dialogue is so smart and the story is so smart is because that is just the way they made films back then. Obviously they didn't really have special effects so the story had to be good. Another movie I would recommend is Treasure of the Sierra Madre. A movie from 1948, also starring Humphrey Bogart, who played Rick in this movie. Bogart was a major star through out the 30s-50s. Basically he was that era's Brad Pitt or Keanu Reeves. He did many now very famous movies, The Maltese Falcon, the Caine Mutiny and the African Queen. Like in the movie Humphrey Bogart was a heavy smoker and drinker, he died of esophagus cancer at the age of 58. Finally calling someone kid back then was actually a rather common thing. It wasn't an insult or meant to be condescending.
