Easily the biggest villain was Waingro. As for the mother, I get the criticism, it's not entirely unfair or undeserved. But at the same time, the job of a mother is one of the hardest jobs there is. It was never intended to be a job undertaken alone, so I still rank the daughter's biological father as a bigger asswipe. After that, it's the Tom Sizemore character for me, as he took a child for cover. Absolutely inexcusable. Perhaps then I get to the mother. Some small trivia, the character Bosko, the cop with the gruff voice, was played by actor Ted Levine. He is best known for his role as Buffalo Bill in the movie "Silence of the Lambs". Also, the Native American officer was played by Wes Studi. You've seen him a couple of times, as the renegade Pawnee in "Dances with Wolves", and the rogue Huran warchief Magua in "The Last of the Mohicans" - the one who Chingachgook kills at the end, after he had killed his son.
