I do appreciate that you recognized the cultural importance of this movie, that being the "cabin in the woods" style of horror films. Also the three men who made it are all now major Hollywood players; one a director, one a producer, and one an actor.

2024-10-31 13:25:34 +0000 UTCBiss one thing to keep in mind is this movie was meant to be "campy". Also this is an amateur movie done by a group on young college kids. Think of it this way. Evil Dead is a student film, some Hollywood people saw it and liked it and gave them some money to remake it. That movie is Evil Dead 2, basically the same movie just a little different. But still "campy". Then came Army of Darkness. They are supposed to be funny and sorta stupid. Hope this helps.
