2024-06-23 14:52:58 +0000 UTCI always liked this movie, remembered it used to creep me out a lot when it first came out, and it changed a lot of what horror became after this one, it was something new with the amature filming which made the horror more pure. Hope to see more scary movies from you in the furture! The Haunting of Hill House Is a huge recommendation! 😃 braindead horrors are good, but this one has an amazing story to it aswell. 😄

Which was based on stories /myths told over a few years, of a supernatural presence in the woods that would lure people to her and would kill them. There were multiple different stories and myths about the Blair Witch and who she was. This is of course what they were trying to learn about for their documentary . During the interviews with the towns people, they talked about a guy who murdered 7 children in his house, deep in the woods. That was the house Mike and Heather found at the end of the movie. This murderer would take two children into this basement, make one stand facing the corner, so the kid would not see the horrible murder of the other kid. The murderer claimed he heard voices telling him to do these murders. The myth is that those voices were actually the Blair witch. While you never see anyone or anything with Mike and Heather, the theory is, that it was the Blair Witch that was doing this the whole time. Some evidence of this is that on the walls thru out the house, is occult writing and symbols. (As well as the children's handprints). And of course while in the woods, the three of them stumble on those occult/witchcraft symbols made out of tree branches and the piles of rocks outside their tent as well. All of this indicating some type of witchcraft was happening. it is a very ambiguous ending.

2023-10-17 05:44:30 +0000 UTCThis is one of my favorite horror films because when I saw it, it was a perfect storm for me. The group I was in was intoxicated and we decided to go to the movies and all we knew about the film was what the ticket guy told us. It was a film made from footage found in the woods. We all went in completely blind and left in a state of mind that lasted until news spoiled the feeling the next day. Thinking this footage is real, even for a night was an experience I think every person should get to have.

2023-10-16 19:01:53 +0000 UTCThis movie was a hoax! It was a student film. It was the first "mockumentary". The actors even went into hiding for a few weeks after the premiere to help hype up the fact that they were supposedly killed. It actually fooled a lot of people into believing it really happened. The one thing I remember most is the snot dripping down the girl's nose.
