I was shocked to see Val Kilmar, hadn't seen him in years. Too bad about the illness. Oh and Jennifer Connelly....man she looks stunning at 52!! She was one of my first crushes, from her role in Labyrinth and The Rocketeer.

With this movie and the new Mission Impossible movie included he is making these films to enhance the theatrical experience, this I respect. I believe he has said he is against movies going straight to streaming services. I saw the original top gun only twice (2nd time was Biss reaction), and it just was not for me. This is my 2nd time watching Maverick and it has some incredible flight sequences and dogfight scenes. But I thought it leaned to hard into the nostalgia of the first movie. I just kinda lost interest until each of flight sequences started up again. 2 out of 5 TY TY loved seeing Biss intensity while watching this. She very immersed in this movie. Oh my call sign "Metal"

She basically got "old", a sad but true reality for many Hollywood actresses. They needed a love interest for Maverick, ergo Penny, the Admiral's daughter mentioned in the first movie. Val Kilmer plays Iceman. You really should drop everything and watch Tombstone. It is based off of America's greatest legend, the Gun Fight at the Ok Corral. Val is excellent in it. The whole movie is wonderful. In real life Val has throat cancer and does not act much any more. I think for nostalgia sake, I have to say I like the original better, now over 30 years old. But this one is good. 4 out of 5. As for your call sign, "Trouble". I originally thought "Cookie Monster", but I think "Trouble" is more suiting.
