Invincible S3 Ep 2 - UNCUT

The argument is leaning to Cecil's side. I think most of us agree. The thing is, he literally escalated all the time. People think Mark started this shit, but Cecil literally surround Mark with Reanimen, grab him, and when Mark responded, he kept going. Also, if Cecil was so convinced of his point, why not reveal to the general public and to the justice about Sinclair and Darkwing? Maybe they do get exonerated when Cecil explains what are they doing, but maybe not. Is not Cecil's place to be judge and jury, even if we understand why he does this. Also, once Mark left the pentagon, what was the reason to pursue him and subdue him? Cecil could just let him go, which ironically was what he was telling Mark to do, to just go. And lastly....is sad that, even if the episode makes an effort show us that the damage done by Sinclair is still present in his victims, no one (not most comments or reactors) seem to empathize with Mark's feelings, which are totally valid, even if he is wrong in the discussion.

I don't think I've ever disagreed more with Ali on something lol. It's one thing to say Cecil has a point, it's another to completely dismiss Mark's points and concerns. Yes, Mark killed someone, but he killed a murderer that was attempting to kill his family. Darkwing and Sinclair killed innocent people. It's a pretty big difference.

Cecil's not wrong about Mark. He is an arrogant, young, hot-headed hypocrite who is more like his father than he cares to admit. He sees things one way and refuses to listen to other viewpoints (like Cecil's). He lied to his mom, Oliver, Eve, Rick, and William about what really happened (although, he does think he is telling the truth). He's starting to get a ridiculously big head and he is becoming scary, not because he's getting stronger and faster, but because of his mindset, and, let's be honest, his imbalanced emotions. Do I feel for Mark? Absolutely, but he needs to think about his actions some more and reign in that anger.

The ironic thing is both Mark and Cecil are people who will go to extremes if they believe what they are in the right. Mark can go too far if his emotions get the better of him and he loses control. Cecil will just quietly decide that he can do whatever he thinks is necessary. (emphasis on "he thinks") Not sure which is scarier to be honest.
