2025-07-08 17:58:53 +0000 UTCsome things that were skipped and some clarifications 1. ibuki actually challenged kiyotaka to a fight again in volumes 7.5(the volume this episode adapts) and lost to him again. iirc, she kept bugging him until he agreed to her rematch and they ended up going to a storage room or something and he basically choked her until she tapped out. they also ended up getting locked in the room so they had to get outside help and they pretended to be lovers who stumbled in there by accident. 2. sakayanagi’s claim of kiyotaka being a false genius comes from her belief that all geniuses are born and not made. she thinks no matter how excellent someone is, they could never beat a natural born genius. this is why she says it’s up to her(a natural born genius) to bury him(someone she perceives to be a “false” one). she ends up coming to the conclusion that he’s a true genius after she loses to him in s3. you’ve seen it already so this shouldn’t be a spoiler.
