2025-07-17 02:14:13 +0000 UTCAlso wanted to add here that back in the beginning before Subaru knew Emilia's real name and when he called her Satella she said that "How dare you call me by the name of the witch of envy" so it was already confirmed that Satella was the name of the witch of envy. Not to mention that it resembled Emilia. I'm pretty sure Subaru put the two and two together long time ago, that's why he stopped himself from saying the same name again in another loop before he knew her real name. Edit: Oh she put it together at the end of the episodes lol. One more thing, the power Subaru has is more seen like a gift or a proof that the witch loves him, rather than a curse, at least that's what I've gathered from the specific phrasing they use, but since it's something to do with the witch, people still look badly upon it even if it is a gift. So it's not to be confused with the possible curse that killed Subaru/Rem, that Beatrice was explaining about when talking about curse magic.

Several days happen between the times he checkpointed and died. To come back on a point you mentioned before, sleeping is not the trigger to the checkpoint. To contextualize the day he starts working, the day he goes to the village and the day he makes the promise with Emilia are all different days. FYI. the one that killed him was Ram (wind magic), Rem was to late that's why she said her sister is to kind. Ram "spared" him the suffering with a quick death.
