About whether he would like to go home or not... (trivea from LNs) . . . . . . . . He likely would, at least for a bit to say farewell and stuff. However it is said in the light novels that he had a feeling that going back home would be impossible. And Subaru is very much putting up a front of 'being okay', which is why we see very little of such uncertainties from him.

2025-01-30 21:03:10 +0000 UTCSo to clarify a bit, the first time he woke up in the mansion and had Beatrice suck out his mana and he ended up fainting was before the checkpoint so she remembers him from that point in time. The checkpoint is the second time he woke up in the mansion. Sleeping isn't a thing that returns him to the checkpoint, it was very briefly mentioned (before he died) that he had been working there for like 5 days or something. Also the fact that we (and Subaru) doesn't know how the power works and how checkpoints are created makes all this way more scary. And seeing how doing just a few small things slightly differently from last time can change the actions of people around him so much is insane. This is where the episodes are gonna get better and better. Looking forward to more!
