2025-03-26 18:42:44 +0000 UTCSkyppeia might not have a ton of lore but it’s where one piece started to feel like a grand adventure in a world full of secrets to uncover and unimaginable places to visit and explore. I think that was the arc purpose and it achieved it pretty well despite its many flaws.

I can't say it's a mistranslation for sure because she may have spoken in English for that one word and it got translated to "Rio", but "Real" is essentially what she means as combining all the texts will create the real/complete message Robin is assuming here that Roger took the Poneglyph messages he found to the final island

2025-01-22 16:30:23 +0000 UTCYou got your opinion on the worst arc pacing and I got mine. Yeah Skypeia has its issues but the overall theme makes it one of my favorite arcs. I definitely prefer the manga version of Skypeia over the anime same with other arcs. And lets be careful with spoilers like names of arcs or hints for the future.

The ponegliff is nice and all but turned out to be a dud. And pacing is definitely awful, I'm not saying that for free. When this arc was airing, the anime was barely 30 chapters behind and therefor they had to mess around with the pacing quite a bit. Explain how 66 chapters in 43 episodes is not god awful pacing. Worst than dressrosa or Wano. It should have been covered in 20 something episodes. you seem to have forgotten just how much time they spent running around in the forest or doing absolutely nothing at all for the little story development we get

But I don't know how you can say the pacing is considered the worst out the arcs. And I wasn't even referencing about Silihouettes im talking about the Poneglyph and Roger being there. I think its pretty relevant. But everything else i disagree with. One of my favorite arcs and such an amazing backstory. And thats cool you don't like it everyone got diff taste. Personally i don't think any arc in OP is bad like the worst arc i can rate is honestly a 6.

2025-01-22 10:07:36 +0000 UTCyou're confusing importance in the story with just general relevance. Remove skypeia altogether and what do you miss? Just a couple teasers here and there for what's to come, there is not that much development overall. I've watched that arc a couple times to try and understand how it's so relevant to the story, it's really not. It's one of the most underwhelming arcs of OP. No one getting injured or even dying despite some characters getting blasted to death 10 times and still making it... Arc just lacks impact, pacing for this arc is probably the worse in OP and it feels more like a filler arc than an actual OP world building arc. And no guys, seeing a couple silhouettes that you're gonna see again hundreds of chapters later is not crazy world building or anything. Don't compare a sneaky little foreshadowing to actual story telling.
