You can definitely see that Frieren doesn't understand how much she's changed by her being surprised, but pleased by Eisen's statement that "that one-one hundredth" changed her. Also, the einsam taking the shape of Himmel instead of her master, Flamme, like they usually do.
I love Stark! I think he's a great character and you can see that he's putting on airs with Frieren and Fern until he finds out who Frieren is. As soon as he finds out, he gets very real with them very fast ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ His extreme fear when it comes to facing the dragon stems from him not having enough confidence in his own formidable abilities. He's even surprised that he killed the dragon in one blow while Frieren is not. Them meeting Stark is another example of the difference between Frieren and Fern. Frieren is able to see Stark for who he really is because she's looking at the bigger picture while Fern is looking at "what's obvious" and, therefore, misses who Stark really is at first.
Anyway, I see Stark as Usopp, if Usopp was a super strong, capable warrior lol. Usopp is great at a lot of things, but melee fighting isn't one of them lol. Both Stark and Usopp have big inferiority complexes, but they don't let their inferiority complexes cripple them at important moments (well, not always, anyway lol).
Frieren being allowed to just go through the checkpoint at the end is so funny ๐๐๐ Also, Fern, why you gotta that to do our boy Stark ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
