As my Mexican friend puts it:
"A vibrant Mexican tradition of Día de Muertos, where cultures intertwine and beauty knows no borders.
[...]
Dia de los Muertos is a time to remember, rejoice, and celebrate the lives of those who have left an indelible mark on our hearts. 💕 It's a celebration filled with vibrant colors, intricate face paintings like our Catrina-inspired look, and offerings of marigolds, sugar skulls, and their favorite foods.
This beautiful tradition reminds us of the impermanence of life while embracing the idea that our loved ones continue to live on through our memories and stories. It's a time to come together as a community, to laugh, to cry, and to honor the unique journeys that our loved ones have taken 🕊️"
It was dear to me to do something for the occasion, as a sign of friendship, but also because I lost a few parents in the last three years. I thought I should challenge the AI to translate all that into my pictures, with the intricate details of the dresses and the elaborate face paintings.
I hope you'll enjoy this work.
