What have I been working on?
Added 2024-06-27 18:45:41 +0000 UTCI am going to avoid spoiling any story content for the next update, but here is a quick update about what I have been working on since the first public release.
As a lot of people know, there were a lot of errors that I have been hotfixing for the past week or so as users found them. This took most of my development time, but luckily it has slowed down now.
There were also a lot of oversights in the systems that users have pointed out; this is great feedback. I have done my best to resolve all of these as they come up, and they will all be included in the next update. It will also include several quality-of-life features and polish to help make the game feel a little bit more user-friendly, such as improved tooltips and seeing what influences certain values.
With these smaller changes, I have a few big content features planned. First, move how girls respond and accept actions to a single "personality" system to help keep everything consistent and believable. This will also allow modders to keep their content consistent with the base game without needing to update their code with every patch.
The second feature will be addressing girls who pass their exams. While they won't be coming back to the classroom, I did want players to be able to interact with them in some ways. The result is what I am calling the "alumni" system; it is still for the most part in the planning phase, but the plan is to allow the player to bring them on board and use them to help achieve their goals both in and out of the academy.
To help keep things fresh, you can also expect a few more random events, videos, and maybe a new character or two. I don't have a timeline for when this update will release since my hope was 6–8 weeks from the v0.2 release, but there is a lot of writing to do, and this update is more ambitious than initially expected.
Thanks to everyone who has decided to support the project and given feedback.
You have made the time invested in this project all worth it.
