[Yaradiel's Crown Poll]

Hey friends

I hope you are having a wonderful day

Today I fixed a bunch of bugs, fixed 11 out of 19 of the reported issues, so I’m hopeful I will be able to bring an update for wednesday.

However, for today I wanted to do a poll about Yaradiel’s Crown!

I mostly want your opinion so I can better balance some of the experiences of the game, so vote below and help me make a better game for all of us!

One thing regarding money: I have reduced the price of all clothing to half, so once the update is live all clothing will be much cheaper!

Another thing I wanted to ask is what is your opinion on an instant-lose scenario.

For example: there is an open cell in the prison, with something inside, once you enter the cell, the door closes behind you, and you are captured.

While this idea may be fun for some, I want to see how most of the player base feels about it.

Regarding the capture scenario, I'm asking for the duration since you can press the "End scene" button, which is when you have 100 focus already.

So tell me with your votes!

If you vote on the option that the game is not very fun, please let me know, what would make the game more fun for you?

Cheers!

@h0rr0rk1tt3n I just spent an hour putting together a video clip example of “The Engaging Bug” in which the patrols don’t engage with the Yaradiel’s Crown character after the first combat is completed. I sent it onward to Mr. Zed, though I don’t know if it’ll help. I am really looking forward to seeing that fixed. Your description of the 10-second thing makes me think of some Rule34 videos I’ve seen with the “Continue?” prompt, dramatic music, and the countdown being chanted: “9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…Game Over.” They usually do have some poor soul (usually female) undergoing some sexual onslaught of questionable consent. The “Game Over” declaration usually corresponds with the “perpetrator” climaxing inside the character. Some of them suggest pregnancy is the result. The one I’m thinking of in particular has the Jaina Proudmoore character from Warcraft III (where I first “met” her) and WoW (which I’ve never played). She gets knocked up reluctantly by an orc, and the clip fast forwards to her looking at her swollen middle in the mirror. Kind of a fun and kinky fantasy that I guess is somewhat popular... I don’t know if impregnation is something Mr. Zed and Crew have considered for this, but it kind of does set up a “retire this character” option, somewhat like you have suggested (“…that character is permanently captured in a different setting”). Maybe Talara the Evil Overlord Sorceress wants your character (and others) to “serve her” through creating offspring. It’s been a part of classical mythology and literature for a long time (Zeus wanted to create a family of Olympians so he went around seducing and impregnating other immortals and mortals). I’d be a little sensitive about the morality of it if I weren’t playing a game in which forced sexual acts and murder-adjacent violence were going on. LOL. But, even then, I’d only be a *little* sensitive. I’ve also brainstormed a dozen other ideas about how the “Captured” part could be expanded—mostly with other aspects of the games that this studio has produced (Dungeon Coup, Kinky Fight Clubs 1 and 2, and Solas City Heroes). However, this is long enough for this time around, and I need to actually play the game a little before bedtime… I’m with you on this, though. This game rocks.

(Sorry hit enter too soon and had to rewrite) This @Faile35Plus. I absolutely love the game overs, despite me actively trying to avoid them. One of the things that used to always frustrate me in games is when your character loses, it's just like "meh, okay, start over." This is like "yeah, you lost and now you're gonna pay a price for it." I love this aspect of the game so much. I'm really looking forward to the addition of bondage furniture, insta losses, and threesomes. In terms of the insta losses, I can go either way (shocking). I might not want to see it coming, but it might get frustrating if they're unavoidable and cause the gameplay to come to a halt. Also, I still like the idea of an ultimate game over, almost like a nightmare mode which takes place in the capture setting where multiple opponents are holding you down and taunting you while one of them is trying to force you to orgasm. It gives you a 10 second (or other time span) countdown where you have to resist/avoid being forced to cum by either the same game mechanism or a different new one. If you cum during that countdown that character is permanently captured in a different setting and you have to start over with a new character (or you can opt to watch your other character get worked over). Or maybe have an optional rescue quest for your newly created character. That said, so far I love this game and I really look forward to future developments.

Thoroughly enjoying 2.1. My hat's off to you guys. Also, I guess I'm with the minority on the whole expanded "captured" scenario. If I had my way, it'd have lots more to it. I guess I've seen *lots* of combat games of this kind, but the sex fights are a new thing that Mr. Zed and Crew have cornered the market on. But even then, having a significant portion of the story and game play that takes place *after* the character is defeated?! That's just cool. It's like "Game Over" just became "A Whole New Game is Just Getting Started." Maybe I'm naive here, but I've never seen anything like that, and I'd love to see it expanded. I'd think it wouldn't be too difficult to add some kind of "opt out of the captured scene" setting somewhere for those who didn't like it. Also, I like the idea Petri shared about the "Instant Lose" options. Maybe there could be more than one way of "losing"? Maybe one type of "Game Over" throws you into the "Captured" storyline, while another one puts you in a different part of it, or gets you disadvantaged in another way (like your money is taken from you like Donkey Kong's banana horde, and you have to go on a dangerous side quest to get it back). So, it's not "Game Over" as much as "Game Paused" or "Game Detoured." Okay, that's enough out of me. Looking forward to seeing how it all works out.

Am I the only one who can't fight the hot elite girl? I press E when the Ambush command pops up and nothing happens. And also I am just attacked once I enter the ruins, after that the mobs doesn't really care abou my existance.

Flavius

I like it as a concept. I feel like more content, rare drops, locations (secret locations) will really make it better. I especially want rare drops like certain elites drop rare cosmetics, special skills, sex positions, ect. I like the skill trees so far. Waiting for that to get fleshed out more. Ultimately love the direction it's going in but I want rare items to collect and powerful enemies to conquer.

Nonya Bisnuss

I still think the game still needs combat like solas city heroes it was by far a better fighting experience. Turn based combat doesnt really feel all that exciting. I would like the ability to capture my enemy during combat and make them my slave too.

Jaspe

For the difficulty, I assume this is very early in the game development and there will be higher level enemies. I think I stumbled on a level 25. Level 1 enemies felt fine at level 1, trivial by level 3, so I think that tracks. I did say "I'm not having much fun", but again, early game. I assume there will be more traps, places to walk around, quests to do, etc. I can see the potential, even though you can currently exhaust the content pretty quickly.

Zretched

The game was really good! There was only one advice I want to provide. By any chance, can we get forg tie and hog tie and those based love scene animation. It has used the same bondage system for three game in a row. Would you mind upgrading the bondage system?

Victor

This game is starting off pretty damn great, keep it up! Playing on the hardest difficulty, hardcore on, the only way I can squeeze any real challenge out of it was by turning on real-time mode. I'm certain a bunch of people don't want a ludicrously, fucktastically difficult challenge, but I do. Please consider more options in the future to increase the difficulty further, beyond fairness. Being robbed for credits, consumables, level-drain, bad-ends/permadeath, etc.

Suzy_moo

my only problems with the game so far (excluding standard Early access missing content) are camera movement is really jank (i think it could be fixed by giving individual sliders for horizontal and vertical sensitivity. also make it less "click-y") and the character feels like they "slide" when moving (kind of like in Fallout 3/New Vegas) other than that if something else comes to mind I'll probably leave another comment somewhere. Keep up the great work!

Instant loses can be a bit hit or miss for me. A kinky trap can be fun if I can see it coming and save right before hand so I can view the loss (game over) then reload and not lose any progress. Alternatively, a invisible trap that leads to a kinky but escapeable (non-game over) scenario can also be fun. Similar to heavy bondage traps of Solas City. Non-winnable boss are kinda the same way. If the fight is short and the results don't result in a significant lose of progress then they are fine. I don't like invisible traps or invincible bosses that I don't have a chance to save before or have a 20 minute battle before losing all my progress.

jengeld4

While I did vote "instant lose, yay!", I'd like to note the caveat that I don't want a *surprise* instant lose. Maybe a prompt or something to say that open cell looks "suspicious" or something tastier along those lines. While I don't mind losing like that, I'd prefer not to have it sprung on me out of the blue.

Apathyman the Mundane

if you add insta loses, then it have to be possible to be skipped? even if possible you could turn them on/off from options.. insta lose sounds fun, but usually they coming annoying and booring.. If possible make more like traps (I dont mean now bondage traps ) lets say if you go inside a house there is two girls who steal money from you or items? traps like that. :)

Petri

The initial capture scene isn't so bad, but actually trying to escape after that seems like it would be WAY to tedious, also if you're fully restrained and get into a fight and you try to break out of the restraints to fight back you basically just get locked in a loop of breaking out of one then it immediately gets put right back on

Fawksiii

Regarding the instant-lose scenario. I personally feel that's cool and fun but maybe as an addition for people who don't enjoy such content there could be an option either to disable such event entirely in the menu OR when such event triggers, a pop up can give the player an option: Either allow the event to unfold or say you use a scroll or something to escape before it happens etc?

Silver Raki

Not going to lie I really enjoy the game.

Bruva Throatpuncher

I like the idea of events where lets say that prison cell event, where the door shuts and you have to find a way out and like you encounter a group of baddies and you fight your way out and the moment you get stunned (0 HP first time no undressing needed) THEN you get captured. I am a lover of adventure, wandering into things and getting myself out of it. Anyways, I would find it so bogus if I don't get a fighting chance (ESPECIALLY SINCE IT GOES INTO MY CHARACTER STATS-) so Yay to chance encounters and scenarios, but nay to instant loss for fun events like that (maybe off a switch where it is an instant loss for some encounters)

AshesnFlames

I can't vote for either yay or nay to instant lose events because it really depends on how they are implemented and, more importantly, how they end. For example, if the player can just skip the instant lose events when they happen or if they can be disabled (similar to the heavy bondage toggle), then it's far less of a worry about players not liking them. However, if there is no way to skip or disable them, then usually instant lose scenarios in games with no warning just frustrate players more than anything. One way I've seen instant lose scenarios be implemented in porn games that I really like is that they have incredibly obvious, impossible to miss signs on them and are trivial to avoid. This works really well because the player can just walk around the instant lose scenarios if they want, but if they want to see the scenario for the sex or curiosity, then they just walk into it. In the jail cell example, the door would have a large, obvious sign with "Danger!" or sexy love hearts or something to indicate it as an instant lose spot. It's best to use the same sign for all instant lose scenarios so that the player always recognizes them for what they are instantly. These are just my thoughts and experiences with instant lose scenarios in porn games.
