So I have been thinking about character progression

Specifically around micke and sky, cause I have been thinking how their identities change and how they grow as the story progresses, both come from a place of confusion, at the beginning of the story both think they are straight, micke coming out as a trans man sort of changes a lot of things for both of them since they have been friends for years and know each other

In the case of sky that sort of breaks down the idea he had about himself, he tho he was asexual in a way, mostly cause he didn’t felt any sort of sexual attraction to micke (back when he was closeted and pretending to be a cis girl) so he just assumed he couldn’t feel any sexual attraction at all, but after micke comes out AAnd starts being himself without restrictions sky sort of starts getting this attraction that wasn’t there, like... he starts wanting to be more than friends, because micke changes in a way, like, he is the same but now more, he is himself instead of hiding behind a facade, and as it turns out sky really fucking likes that, and (with some help) he adds 1 + 1 and realizes that he is gay, which I mean, he had some suspicions but he never really got the chance to think about it, and that sort of changes his world entirely cause boy did he liked boys, he just never tho about it before, so I’m trying to show that in a meaningful way, which is why he looks awkward when the story starts, like just basic as fuck

Might not be the change of the century but he is living his best life, he likes flirting a lot and just having a good time, he doesn’t do well in complicated relationships

Now in Micke’s case is more complicated

His journey is as close as mine as it can be, so to an extent it’s complicated to write cause I am stuck at the beginning of it, for safety I can’t quite come out, tho I have taken as much changes as I have been allowed and I pass to certain extent, so part of Micke’s journey is kind of what I want from mine

He starts as an awkward teenager, that feels his existence is a mistake and hides in his room to avoid everyone and everything cause existing kind of hurts, he thinks he is just defective and to some extent he doesn’t quite feel attraction but unhealthy attachment to anyone that makes him feel he is worth keeping around (part of why he and sky didn’t worked out the first time is cause the relationship was kind of like a caricature, Sky not knowing really how genuine attraction felt, and micke being a mess of neediness and attachment issues), it took the realization that no matter how hard he tries he couldn’t be happy being a woman for the rest of his life to push him to change

He goes away and starts anew in this camp, and gets to know someone that he can confide how he wishes he could be a man, and he starts working towards that goal from here on now, it takes the help of this one girl that made him feel safe enough to stand for himself

From there on he just takes time to learn how to feel at ease at his own body, what makes him happy, what makes him feel bad, taking the steps to ease the pain he was in, and it goes from 24/7 pain to just a couple of hours in pain, to only having panic attacks when his mental health gets really bad

And with feeling more at home in his own body he also opens up to letting others get close, he likes to be wanted too, he likes feeling he is sexy and shit cause turns out he just likes making whoever he dates feel happy, he is a bit of a player, he dates a shit ton of people as the story progresses, but most of his relationships are with people that aren’t 100% balanced, and that’s cause he isn’t 100% balanced either, he haves an issue of projecting his own issues onto others and wants to help everyone and give them the love he didn’t got or the help he wish he got when he was on his lowest, he doesn’t really have a preference he just likes people he feel he can connect with, but he does have a weakness for good huggers

Most of the changes are internally, once he feels more at home with himself he just sort of exist without worrying too much about style
