They had rigged the area with explosives, but not just any type. They had brought titan fragments that had previously driven Sonja to madness, only this time, they were more concentrated. The explosives weren't designed to kill a titan; rather, they aimed to envelop the area in a mist of madness. The dwarf held a deep grudge against Sonja for the destruction of their clan.
