Medusa hadn't yet figured out how Chrysus was able to find her, thinking she was simply another foolish warrior coming to try to slay her again. The gorgon intended to end her and add Chyrsus to the collection of statues. First she needed to get that helmet out of the way.
The two ladies have spotted one another and will now engage in the courting ritual of combat. The smaller one will attempt to woo her with her might! If she fails...well she dies.
