Edward just had too many ups and downs to him and I get his standing on wanting to keep Bella human and all but Jacob really wanted to help her and protect her, even from himself.

I think a lot of people become Team Edward because they like his maturity compared to Jacob's immaturity and impulsivity in certain situations. But I think they tend to forget that Jacob is 16 years old, Bella is 18 and Edward is 109! I would except Edward to be the more mature compared to Jacob. And Bella really did give Jacob hope until Edward came back so you really can't blame him for thinking he had a chance. They had some great chemistry. I think the whole debate really is just personal preference and how you would want to live your life so it'll always vary. Thanks for the reaction and I can't wait to see you guys watch the rest of the films!

I get that people love Jacob, but it seems like in these first two movies, the story from the very beginning had likely told us who she was going to go with. I never thought Jacob had a real chance in this movie. Ironically, though, New Moon was the first book in the series I read (I skipped Twilight because it wasn't available at the library, and I already knew the story). This was fun rewatching with y'all!
