SUPER SATURDAY SCHEDULE!

You don't need to read the comic first, don't worry, they are really great! tbh the comics and show are basically one to one so it just depends on whether you prefer reading, or watching tv.

Sammie

Oh hey heartstopper isn’t it from a book? Should I read the book 1st ? I feel like it wasn’t spicy and so a lot of people didn’t read it. Lol.

Ashley

for john and greg on their bridgerton journey: since you both seem to have a soft spot for penelope, i’m curious to hear more of your thoughts about that confrontation with marina. it’s a hurtful one, and nicola coughlan plays it so well! how do you feel about marina by the end of the episode with her secret exposed?

sanrac

you two should watch the 2 seasons of The OA (16 eps), a couple empaths would do well with that show, plus maybe Roxy but she's likely seen it already.

Heartstopper 2x03-2x04: Bonjour G&J! - Queer romance is often mocked when most chacters eventually claim a letter in LGBTQ+. However, 90% of comic characters also sort into predictable boxes (sidekick, villan, tech guy...), sometimes also revealing their "true nature" at a critical moment. Q?: Was Coach Singh a surprise? Why are predictable character classifications/reveals acceptable in some genres and not others? (Bonus: Watching a queer romance and saying "so I guess *everyone* is gay?!? is kinna the same as watching a superhero show and saying "so I guess we need *everyone* to defeat the big bad?!?".)

Bridgerton 1x06: Lords G&J!- Ya'll already know the Bridgerton's naming convention (alpha order). The Featheringtons also use a convention, all begin w/ P (Portia, Prudence, Phillipa & Pen). Q?: Do you enjoy naming conventions in film/tv? How do romance's conventions compare to comics? (Antman, Batman, Spiderman... Green + Arrow, Lantern, Goblin)

BRIDGERTON 1x6 (John & Greg) - Question which Reject would be good on boat for ocean voyage there.

Jay Rushton

Just for the future please note what reaction you are looking to ask a question of as it saves me time of trying to figure it out when I'm unfamiliar with the material. Thank you! - PLD

The Reel Rejects

Bridgerton: Love that you’re finally reacting to Bridgerton! Question: Daphne and Simon have great chemistry, but massive communication issues. Daphne’s lack of sexual knowledge (because of the era) meant she couldn’t make informed choices, and Simon knew that. Saying he “can’t” have children instead of “won’t” was deeply misleading. While Daphne’s sense of betrayal is understandable, Simon clearly withdrew consent in that scene, and the show never really addresses that. How do you feel they handled it? Do you think the fallout should have been dealt with more seriously?

Amanda Hayward

Heartstopper: Hey John and Greg! I’d already warmed up to Imogen by Season 2 but Episode 4 really made me love her! Question: What is your take on how Imogen handled Ben? Would you have handled it differently? I, for one, was like “yes! read him!” But I’m also a chaotic bisexual so I feel like my take is a bit…extreme 😇

Nikki Sonrisa

Heartstopper: Hi Greg &John! The gang has arrived in Paris. Have you ever been in a situation where a change of scenery has helped you to see things from a new perspective or more clearly?

Regine Bkr

What are your thoughts on what’s going on with Charlie? We keep seeing him not wanting to eat and always brushing it off like it’s nothing. In season 1, he’s constantly playing with his food, and in season 1 episode 8,when Tori asks if he wants pizza for dinner, he says, “I’m not hungry, I might just eat later,” even though we know that wasn’t true. Now we’re seeing the exact same behavior in season 2 episode 2,after the Marvel movie in Nick’s room, Nick asks Charlie if he wants something to eat and Charlie says no, that he’ll eat when he gets home. Then when he actually gets home and has an argument with his parents, his dad asks if he wants dinner and Charlie lies again, saying, “No, I ate at Nick’s.” And in episode 4,we see Charlie avoiding the ice cream that Nick got for him. What do you think all of this means, and how do you interpret this. Heartstopper explores a lot of heavy themes
