Great review of the story and filming of these beautiful episodes! I loved you noting, Greg the characterizations not being cliché, which I also noted when I viewed them for the first time - and which I think comes not only from the writing but also from Kit and Joe's unique takes on the characters based on their chemistry and friendship. We also get a richer take on Issac's portrayal before too long :) ... And I agree that so many turning points are scripted to help jaded adults see and feel what brave, compassionate speech can be like, as much as they model how young folks want to live and relate today.

It’s hard for us gay guys too, but I never had a straight woman texting me “you just need to meet the right girl, I’ll show you what a real woman is”. Strangely a lot of my lesbian friends have received comments like this from straight men…. I can’t wait to see your reaction for the last two episodes!

2026-01-24 21:37:28 +0000 UTCHoping that after Heartstopper you will continue the romance genre since John loves "LOVE" and watch Outlander. Since the show takes place in 18th century Scotland, you can also geek out on the costumes, lighting, Emmy winning Bear McCreary music, cinematography etc.

2026-01-24 21:13:47 +0000 UTCI think that makes a lot of sense for when we've seen the show already and know when the breaks in dialogue are coming, but for their first time along it's hard to always tell when it'll last longer or not. From what I know they subtitles on anyways so they aren't actually missing important dialogue. I think I'd rather them be able to give their authentic reactions, rather than robotically trying to work around them to the point where we miss commentary : )

2026-01-24 18:54:28 +0000 UTCThe trick in reacting to this show is to wait for the pauses in dialog for you to make comments. There are so many breaks/music so there should be enough time for that.
