2026-01-20 05:11:35 +0000 UTCI saw this movie in the theater. I think you missed that Felix WAS just as horrible as the rest of his family. He was excused because he was tall, rich, and beautiful. We are told that Felix had a habit of using people. Building them up and then dropping them. Using and disposing of women, using and disposing of less fortunate "friends". Using others' misfortune for his own excitement. Oliver told the truth when he said he fed Felix what he wanted. Not that Oliver was a good person, but as he said, the Catton's were cruel, heartless and careless with others. Other people were NOT REAL to them, which allowed Oliver's to seduce them by reflecting back to them what they wanted to see. Oliver is PUCK or PAN, a force of chaos and misrule. Also, it's a take on The Talented Mr. Ripley, not Call Me By Your Name.
