2025-11-05 16:50:36 +0000 UTCI thought about it and realized they couldn't really kill people at the camp because then who would take the blamed for the ghost murders? We never think about that in horror films but if new deaths happen at the camp when the original murders were officially never solved then the new deaths would then be tied to them and writing wise the only choice you have is to then make the prime suspect for the police the former criminal camp owner who probably bought the camp to make sure his crimes stayed buried. Being this movie feels like an attempt at closure for the first films lingering trauma, sending an innocent man to jail would have been a glaring loose end.
