Pirates: Dead Men Tell No Tales is awesome!! I dug it way more than On Stranger Tides for sure. Cool legacy story with amazing production designs, costumes, makeup/FX and great action set pieces: Fast 5 Heist, Salazar Surprise, Undead Sharks, the Galaxy Sky Rock Island and Parting of The Sea finale...Jack, Gibbs, Barbossa, Henry & Carina all echoing the PoTC Adventure of unlikely allies, family ties, and double crossing cursed baddies on a revenge tour. Bardem was great as "Burnt Floaty Water" Salazar, as was Geoffrey Rush' swan song for Capt. Barbossa. Plus the happy ending was sweet to see Will & Elizabeth together again after all these years :)

2025-08-06 08:07:23 +0000 UTC(I'm coming from Mars Attacks and Edward Scissorhands) I'm just about to watch this and imagine my surprise when I learn on my Canadian Disney+ it's called "Salazar's Revenge" even though I remember seeing the title originally released as "Dead Men Tell No Tales" so apparently us Canadians get the UK version and they changed the title to "Salazar's Revenge" because they thought the overseas audiences would get it confused with "Dead Man's Chest"...... Honestly disappointed in that title change it sounds less ominous and I hate that it also feels like it's been "dumbed down" which I feel is slightly offensive (to myself) π Never seen this one btw so I'm going in blind and already I'm disappointed because they gave a title change.. Hopefully it gets better from there π ππ€£ P.S (don't know if this is correct or if I'm just thinking about "One Piece") I love that Aaron is flying his "Jolly Roger" bandana β₯οΈβ₯οΈ
