Donatello rules! D is my fave Ninja Turtle as well Jon. Yeah I saw TMNT spring '90 with my best 8th grade buds RIGHT after school the Friday it came out. My friend James (the all comics superfan of our group) didn't care for it much, but I thought it did a pretty good job of having fun like the popular cartoon, while still being gritty like the Eastman & Laird TMNT comics (or graphic novel compendiums) which I still have today.
The Donatello suit stunts of martial arts actor Ernie Reyes Jr. voiced by Corey Feldman was memorable. I also dug Elias Koteus as "Casey Jones" & Judith Hoag as "April". The Turtles animatronic faces by Henson and the physical effort by the in costume stuntfolk (probably sweating 99% of their body water) was excellent!
*Peep the early roles from always great to watch Sam Rockwell & Skeet Ulrich from "Scream" :)

I had this on VHS for years until I finally got rid of all of them (except a few very special tapes) when I moved. (I think I have it on dvd still)
Before i bought myself a copy, I would get my parents to rent it from the local video rental store until they got sick of me watching it. Good times.

That sounds like an awesome memory to revisit and I'm jealous you can even picture the very place you first saw this in! Thanks for sharing! π₯°π₯°π₯°

Saw this with my two best friends in my little home town theater when I was in high school. We had so much fun watching this, every time I watch it, it kinda puts me back in that little old theater with the old wooden theater style seats, laughing with my buddies.

The other day I came to the realization that I watch the 2nd one more than this one π«£ now don't get me wrong I love this one too!!! But for some reason the 2nd is more memorable and quotable to me and I end up putting it on more than this one because the first one has a much more serious tone (for something labelled a comedy lol) and the 2nd one is just completely goofy and over the top and I love every second of that! So I hope it's going to get a watch also! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
