I feel strongly that you stick with theatrical version for Superman 2. (Though considering you're already watching Superman 3, this might be coming too late.) The Donner Cut introduces all kinds of holes and flaws that the theatrical doesn't have. No, the theatrical isn't perfect, but the Donner Cut is even less so. Also, the most poignant Margot Kidder scene out of all four movies only exists in the Theatrical Cut. I feel like the Donner Cut is more-so an interesting "bonus feature" for people who already know the regular theatrical cut of the movie.
