As a gamer, too, I'm honestly disappointed in some of the casting in season 2. Imo, Bella Ramsey does not cut it as the older Ellie - neither in terms of mannerisms or looks. They worked well in season 1, but the producers should have recasted them. Tbh, Abby's actor would have been perfect for Ellie's older version. On the other hand, why did they cast a slim girl like her as Abby's actress or didn't even ask her to bulk up? Like looks aside, she's way too lean to be playing Abby - a girl who was supposed to defy how a straight girl should look like smh. 😮💨

I think it’ll make his death hurt even worse, and maybe it reminds Joel of when Sarah was little (also pretty sure Pedro has nephews of his own and seems like a great uncle IRL). Another parallel I noticed: in 01x01, you can hear the song “Tomorrow” by Avril Lavigne on the radio while Sarah is making breakfast for Joel, foreshadowing how his world will be shattered soon by her death. In 02x01, Joel tells Ellie he’ll fix her guitar and “bring it back to her tomorrow”, foreshadowing how her world will be shattered soon by his death.

The credits list her name next to the role of the Stalker, the new breed of infected introduced in Episode 1 that follow and attacks Ellie in the Greenplace Market. Technically, this isn’t inaccurate – however, it’s a different Rebecca Ferguson. She may be credited as Rebecca, but she more commonly goes by Becky. She joined The Last of Us team in Season 1, credited as a stunt performer on Episodes 3 and 5, and she’s due to appear in at least one more episode in Season 2 (presumably as a different infected).
