Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs (1937) - Movie WATCH ALONG!!

Comments

I'd love to see you guys hit up more of the Disney classics. Many of those were the movies I grew up on and still have the VHS tapes for. I love watching them and noticing which objects are going to be touched and moved because of the difference in animation, just like Coy was pointing out. Quick Fact: The Disneyland castle is Sleeping Beauty's Castle. That was the princess movie being worked on during the construction of Disneyland and meant to be a promotional tool for the movie's eventual release. Funny enough, none of the castles are Snow White centered.

I am in full support of going through the unseen Disney Classics!!

I’m up for all things Disney, classic or not. Gives me an excuse to watch them again. I haven’t watched Snow White since I was a kid. Loved it!

Natalie C

Yes! Please do more classic Disney animation films like sleeping beauty ( the one with the dragon) lol, Cinderella, the little mermaid, Pinocchio etc. omg! That would be so fun to watch you guy’s reaction to these gems!

As far as Snow White knows the old peddler woman was right she took a bite of the apple and she woke up to her wish come true lol also a HUGE yes please to watching more of the classics! Bambi is definitely another amazing Disney movie! It has one of my absolute favourite songs in it called "April Showers" I'm an April baby (the 3rd) and it ALWAYS rains on my birthday so I've always loved that song since I was little ❤️ While we are on the topic of older animation I would love if we could also take a journey through Don Bluth films they're also on my OG animations lists and also just as enjoyable 😁❤️

Fun fact: Mickey Mouse overalls are a Mandela effect. He never wore overalls. Just red shorts with two buttons! Even back to the Steamboat Willie days. Just thought I'd mention since Aaron mentioned it during the house cleaning scene. Another misconception (since there's a parallel with the poison apple here) - in the Bible, the forbidden fruit is never specified. It's popularly depicted as an apple, based on later interpretations. It would have been just as likely to be a pomegranate, fig, carob, or even a mushroom.

This was an amazing review! Thank you so much! YES. Please continue reviewing the original Disney animated films. Bambi will blow your microchips. I will become a permanent patreon member if you continue this is an ongoing series. I'm not kidding. I personally don't give a crap about the newer adaptations of these, but that's just me. Thanks so much. We all need this kind of magic in our lives right now.

Yes do more classic Disney, but not just animation, but their live action films too. 20000 Leagues Under The Sea and The Love Bug/Herbie franchise is amazing.

Cody Price

you guys need to add mirror mirror (2012) starring Collins and Julia Roberts to your list! was a great adaption

Yes.. watch all the Disney Classics.. Bambi, Sleeping Beauty, Dumbo, Robin Hood (probably my favorite), Jungle Book, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, Sword in the Stone.. Side note* Gooseberry pie I believe is a European edible berry. Apple Dumplings are sort of like an Apple danish. It's cooked apples with cinnamon and sugar wrapped in a pastry crust w/ butter and baked. I grew up with a bunch of apple trees on our property so my parents made apple everything.. Dumplings were some of my fav's. basically like a bite size apple pie. as for the apple and the garden of Eden it was never specified as to what fruit it was. I think Apple is depicted due to mis translation and/or just easy to refer to it as an apple as everyone world wide knows what that is. I don't know but I don't think it was ever called an apple in the bible. I saw this in the theaters in the earlier 80';s as a kid and I loved it. I believe this film has had like 6 or 7 theatrical runs over the years. Also I believe it was in production for 3 years and Walt mortgaged his house to help pay for it and no one in his "circle" including his wife and brother wanted him to make it, they all thought he was nuts for doing this. it cost 1.5 million but made over 400 million.. Snow White is the only Disney Princess with a star on the walk of fame and due to this being a success, Walt used the money to open his studio in Burbank so Disney could get into the "movie" business. And the rest is history as they say. A very important film.

Coy, I like your idea to raise your kids on old movies. You guys definitely watch more of these. Alice in Wonderland would be great.

zenscience

Watch the Disney classics; Bambi, Dumbo, etc. Build it up and see the progression that led to the Golden Age of Disney in the '90s.

Benjamin Allen

i grew up on everything disney so ive seen it all but i do love them all at the same time its been a long time since ive sat down and watched the classics though so happy to do it now. would love if you guys also got into something like enchanted since its a great movie.

YES! Raid the Disney vault for the classics! Sword and the Stone, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood, the list goes on and would love to see them. Instead of the huntsman movies, I'd suggest looking at Sidney White for a funny twist or Mirror Mirror for a lighter alternative.

Lauren

Oh man sign me up for more classic Disney movies! Not only animated but also some of the earliest live action movies as well! Like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea which is one of my personal favorite one and I think Coy will really enjoy it it's a sci-fi adventure film :) And you also have others like Darby O'Gill, Mary Poppins and Treasure Island! Which is Disney's first live action film ever!
