Just some foreshadowing, Carl mentions that Dracula was killed by "the left hand of God" before making a pact with the devil and becoming a vampire. The arch-angel Gabriel in the Abrahamic religions is known for delivering God's messages and will to humankind. Similarly, God's left hand is known to punish, restrain, and mitigate the sins of man. Often times, Gabriel is referred to as God's left hand, like they are one in the same. Van Helsing's first name is....

2024-10-26 05:15:03 +0000 UTCDon't know if you've learned it by now, but the first clutch of progeny died because they were using the life force from Velkan (Anna's brother) to keep them alive with the machine. They tried it with the Valerious's father but because he was just human it was too weak. So they tried it with a werewolf which worked as a temporary fix but as soon as he was no longer strapped to the machine the children couldn't maintain their own life so they all died. Frankenstein's monster however was able to give them permanent life. It had nothing to do with the parents at that point, it was just because the source of life they were using was unstrapped
