I'm in my 50's now but my dad loved the original SNL stuff and films. My kids movies were disney/pixar. Mine was Blue Brothers, The Jerk, Seems like Old Times, Airplane, Fletch, Three Amigos, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Animal House, etc. My dad and I would stay up and watch those on Friday nights and get up early and Watch Looney Tunes, Capt. Caveman, and eat cereal together on Saturday mornings. Dad loved Dan Ackroyd, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase mostly. I still call him a "wild and crazy guy".
