thank Gods for Roxy!🫶🏼🤍 in relationship stories Roxy needs to always be a reactor. She reps us booktok girlies📚. The tennis match psychology was 💯, you could analyze it a number of ways. I don’t see this as a thruple. She was attracted to patrick. Magnetically. A hypothetical book version of the story, would’ve illustrated this stronger than the movie did early on. Art is the sweetheart, who just was goo goo gaga for her, and that’s not really her thing. She wants passion above all else. It is not there with art. But she cares about him and they have a child together. I don’t think the story did enough to unpack all of that. I do think Greg had a great point about the three-way kiss. I saw it as she really enjoys competition, and in that moment they stopped competing when they kissed each other. Then she got very disappointed and left. I also believe that Patrick was correct and saying that he would throw the match and she wouldn’t know, and everything he did seem to go into fighting back. The things in this film were so interesting at the end of the day. I think I’m frustrated that it wasn’t served and it’s full potential. The book would’ve been fantastic!

Also this movie is so intense its hard not to let that intensity seep in to your experience watching it so I think it channeled in an awkward tense way between you, lol!

Went and watched it 3 times in the theatre because one, I loved it so much and also because it goes back and forth it was fun to see it knowing what happens. I was so interested in the relationship between patrick and art, and was so happy they ended up back together cause you could feel they actually really loved each other!
