2023-12-18 07:22:14 +0000 UTCit’s mostly the book fans who hate the film because of how bad they butchered the story. it wasn’t just a bad adaptation, the entire plot and arc of the whole book series was changed. it’s almost unrecognizable. If i hadn’t read the books first i think id probably enjoy the movie more cus on its own it’s a fun time.

2023-12-18 06:36:00 +0000 UTCThe books are a whole lot better then this movie, please go read them because you miss so much without reading them! This movie totally gets everything wrong. I really am hoping the show that's coming out is better, although with the way things are being adapted by Disney lately I'm not holding my breath. Oh and also fyi the actor in Love and Monsters is Dylan O Brian, not the actor in this movie.

Imagine if the first harry potter film aged Harry up to 17 from the beginning & then deleted Voldemort as a character entirely, then made a 17 year old draco the only villain and that was how they “adapted” the first HP book instead. Thats exactly what happened here.
