Yeah, strange to introduce Mary, have her be such a big part of the development of Sam and Dean, and then she kinda disappears not just from the screen but from their conversations.
Especially when Dean agreed to start working with the Brits. In my head, when Sam said he had been pulling cases from them, I thought Dean would be thinking, "Well, I could fight this and say 'Are you crazy' and stand my ground, but ultimately, Mary and Sam are both working with them and I don't want to be the odd man out" but he didn't say anything like that. I mean, "We work with bad guys all the time" is one half of the argument, but it was just strange to me that neither of them were like "So, now since we're all working with the Brits, why don't we go catch up with Mom, maybe apologize a little, or at least extend an olive branch and start building a relationship." But they essentially acted as if they'd forgotten she was also working with them.
Also considering how little Sam and Dean trust the Brits, I'd be like, "Hey, if we're gonna actually start working with them, why don't we drop in on Mary and see what she's learned and see if she's still vouching for this or what since she's had months of round-the-clock exposure and a lifetime of hunter instincts," but...they just don't π€·ββοΈ

Dr. Hess is the same actress who played Layla's mother back in S1's 'Faith'. the one who was angry that Dean got saved by the faith healer and not her daughter.
My head canon is that she moved to England after her daughter's death, developed a british accent and then went after the American Hunters because she hates Dean that much. LOL

I know I haven't been leaving comments, so I wanted to come in and let you both know that I really appreciate that you're still reacting to my favorite show. Even though there are times it's not so good.
I know you're really busy and you have a lot of other commitments. That makes it mean even more that you're still making time to react to Supernatural.
